To put it simply, I’m Annie – a wife, a mama of two amazing kids, and lifetime photography lover turned professional photographer. I love photographing all types of events and everyday things, but my love for photographing babies has always been at the heart of my passion for taking pictures. I am head-over-heels for taking shots of my own kiddos and they were a huge part of my inspiration to go from hobbyist photographer to professional. After feeling the happiness that good photos of my kids brought me, I wanted to share that with others!

That dream that started with my own kiddos has grown into something more amazing than I could have imagined! Not only do I get to spend all my days immersed in photography, but I get to capture those fleeting moments as babies grow. I know that when people look back at the photos I take, they’ll remember those first weeks of shaky steps, the way their baby used to belly laugh, or the way their kids reached out their tiny hands to be held. It is such an amazing honor to be a part of my clients’ lives and watch their as their children begin to grow up!

My dreams expanded back in November of 2010 when I photographed the birth of my good friend’s twins. I immediately fell in love with birth photography and came home feeling deep in my heart that it was something I was meant to do. The fact that I really enjoy wedding photography made me hesitant to pursue it, but after many long conversations with Toby about it, I just can’t shake that overwhelming feeling that babies are my calling as an individual photographer. Thankfully, I was told by many friends, family members, and colleagues that I had a gift for capturing those first moments of life and it was the push I needed to make the jump to “baby photographer”.

More than anything else, I’m a mama. I know first hand the way your child’s slow, steady breathing as they sleep can capture your attention… and your heart. The photos you have of those first couple years should do the same. Childhood is so incredibly precious – especially those first couple years – and it goes by so fast! I am beyond blessed to spend my life helping people savor it.
