I shared this sweet baby boy’s slideshow with his family in the midst of busy season, but I haven’t had a chance to blog it until now! I had such a peaceful experience photographing the moments right after Owen’s birth. He was a C-Section baby which meant that I wasn’t there for his actual birth, but I so enjoyed the time I spent documenting him and especially his big sister meeting him for the first time!
Warmly,
Annie

I think the best way to start this post is by saying that I have the best job in the entire world. And the best clients.
I got to know Hilary and Neil back in late 2009 when they asked Toby and I to photograph their wedding. I clicked with Hilary immediately and was touched when she brought me a Willow Tree angel as encouragement (I was in the middle of chemo at the time) when we shot their engagement session. That’s just how Hilary is – so genuinely sweet and caring.
It’s been a complete honor to get to know Hilary, Neil, their awesome kids, and their loving family. All of it – wedding planning, their wedding day, Hilary’s pregnancy, and Lucy’s birth – every moment has been a blessing to me. We’re now planning to keep in touch via play dates for our kiddos and I can’t wait to plan our first one.
Hilary :: It’s the most amazing things when clients become friends. Thank you times a million for being one to me.
Much love to you and your fantastic family!
Annie
p.s. Do you recognize the second song, Hilary? I just had to fit Jane Austen in there somewhere!

This birth was one of the most special that I was honored to photograph this year. I remember sitting down with Mandi for her consultation and hearing her explain the early delivery and loss of her sweet Macy Grace… We got teary-eyed and talked about God’s plans – how sometimes they’re so hard to understand. As we talked, I felt overwhelmingly blessed that I would be there for Braxton’s birth. Because for Mandi and Brett the healthy, normal delivery of their son would be especially poignant.
I can honestly say that the day of Braxton’s birth was just as amazing as I’d felt it would be. Brett was such a great support and Mandi labored beautifully – even through the extreme pain and nausea she was feeling towards the end. As she fought through the pain to deliver her son, I could see in her eyes that she was SO ready to hold her sweet boy in her arms. But as wonderful as seeing Mandi’s strength and determination was, that wasn’t what really got me. It was the joy. So much joy… and humbleness… and gratitude. It was truly amazing.
Mandi and Brett :: Thank you for having me there with you for such a wonderful moment of your lives. I am beyond happy for you both.
Warmly,
Annie
